DU JARDINS’ meaning FROM THE GARDEN is inspired by the artwork of Robert Kushner. Kushner’s long-standing investigation of flowers as a theme, as sources of beauty and nostalgia, as well as formally intricate relations of organic and geometric shapes has been explored.
The collection draws on imperial ornamentals as well as colour harmonies. It attempts to invoke feelings of nostalgia and serenity when one is in the presence of a garden in full bloom. The beauty of transitioning colours on the leaves, different varieties of flora as well as the different seasons they bloom in. With our signature florals, we are mixing decorative paisleys, hand drawn botanicals as well as geometric patterns inspired from art deco murals.
Keeping a festive vibe in mind, the botanicals are bright and formal. A garden is an amalgamation of different species of flora, of various sizes, tones of colours and shapes. Keeping that in mind, we have used different sizes of beads, cluster of sequins, metallic elements to capture the true essence of a garden.
